ExhibitionThe House Where You Live Forever

The body is what the human being has as a major tool to build his/her history, a
medium with which daily experience is constructed and with which one has to deal
with the changing reality. It is through the body that one feels warmth and cold,
hunger and pain, joy and excitement.

Like with nature, some people ignore the body, while others do consider it as the
most vital in life. Dancers, actors, and performers use their bodies as a tool and
instrument for communication. But most of the time, we live our lives, using our
bodies without thinking about the blood and flesh, which composes it.

The House Where You Live Forever scrutinizes the obsession that the current society has about the idea of the perfect body. The exhibition gives an overview of different approaches to the human body, showing how people experience their bodies differently, some neglecting the body until the moment of disease, others exploring it as a tool for communication. How do we reinvent ourselves everyday with the same body?
